Scope and Content

From the Collection: The UNM Vertical Files consist of miscellaneous newspaper clippings, pamphlets, xeroxes, booklets, articles, studies and reports collected randomly over the years about UNM buildings, departments, history, homecoming, presidents, student groups, alumni reminiscences, etc. Of particular interest are the folders on Campus architecture and expansion, sense of place, student activism, diversity issues, minority programs, UNM land holdings, the Board of Regents, the Presidents, Athletics, UNM anniversaries and history, faculty issues, employment controversies, the Memorial Chapel, Jonson Gallery, the Peace Corps, Hodgin Hall, UNM school colors and symbols, and reminiscences. The collection continues to be amassed by the Center for Southwest Research staff.
