Scope and Content Note

From the Collection: The papers of Philip Bock document his activities between 1957 and 1980. The collection is divided into three series: Correspondence, Modern Cultural Anthropology book, and Funding. These series do occasionally overlap in content. Bock's correspondence is the bulk of the collection and contains information about his administrative and academic activities at the University of New Mexico. The series contains correspondence with students, colleagues, editors, professional associations. The collection also contains records of his funding and publications, and few news clippings related to Bock's activities in New Mexico.
