Scope and Content

From the Collection: This collection contains photographs of various scenes in California. There is a photograph of men harvesting grapes in Riverside California, another titled "Marriage place of Ramona at old San Diego," and one titled "Looking East from Pavillion." The photographs of San Francisco landmarks include China town, Golden Gate Bridage, Golden Gate Park, Lick Observatory, Mount Hamilton and Ocean Beach. The collection also contains one panoramic photograph of Sulter Street, San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake. There are photographs of exterior views of various California missions including Santa Barbara Mission, San Luis Obispo, San Diego Mission, San Luis Ray Mission, San Fernando, San Buena Ventura, and San Juan Capistrano.

Includes photographs numbered 990-011-0001-0016 and 994-009-0001.

This collection was created by consolidating four smaller collections (PICT 995-010, 999-011, 995-031) in June 2008. Materials may be added periodically.
