Scope and Content

From the Collection: Orange portfolio containing eight four-page folios with test and silkscreen illustrations. Each folio has a title and cover design, text in English, and an original silkscreen illustration (mounted on page three). Subjects include Mexican Indian (including Techuanas and Tzotziles), trades and vendors, markets, and religion (Feast of the Ascension). Subjects are located in Chiapas, Etla, Ixtepec, Janitzio, Oaxaca, and Taxco. This item is number 486 of a first edition of 2,000 copies. Artist Elma Pratt's designs were printed by the silkscreen process by Adrian Duran. Illustrations are 45 cm.
