Scope and Content
From the Collection:
The colletion contains photographs of Chuzo Tamotsu's paintings. Many of his works employ an ecclectic, hybrid style which relates to both East Asian and Western styles of painting. The 4 x 5" phototransparencies are reproductions of images in this collection.
The collection includes a 1981 catalog of Tamotsu's works. Also in the collection are images of Tamotsu, his studio/gallery and home in Santa Fe, as well as photographs of Japan. Photographic prints are 8 x 10" or smaller, slides are 2 x 2", photo transparencies are 2 3/4", and mounted photo transparencies are 4 x 5".
