Scope and Content

From the Collection: Collection consists of photos of the family and friends of Mildred Tolbert and Judson Crews. Among these are many well-known artists, photographers, writers, and actors who worked in New Mexico. They include Agnes Martin, Louise Bourgeois, John Collier, Jr., Bernice Kolko, Dorothy Brett, Frank Waters and Robert Creeley. The collection also contains photos of friends from the military service, New York City scenes, Zambia, African landscapes, and the work of Taos artists. Most photographs were taken between 1940 and 1969.
