Scope and Content

From the Collection: Collection contains photographs of the Ohio State football team (Big Ten Champions) stopping at the Albuquerque train station on route to the Rose Bowl in 1921. Also, snapshots of the Yale Campus (1920) and Bowl game (1924). New Mexico scenes include: fishing in the Jemez River, persons on route to the Hopi Snake Dance in 1925 (Marcella Matson and driver, Mr. Heward of the Koshare Tours), and hand-colored snapshots of the Green Corn Dance at Santo Domingo Pueblo in 1926. One photograph in Folder 1 shows Glen O.Ream, former principal of Albuquerque High School, with a representative of Collier's Magazine taken in 1929 at Albuquerque High School during a promotion of air transportation.

Album 1 includes 1921 photographs of Santa Fe buildings (Old State Capitol, Old Governor's Mansion, Museum of New Mexico--interior with exhibition--, "oldest home," and "oldest church"); University of New Mexico buildings (1920). Other photographs include Boy Scout Camp in the Sandia Mts. (1922), YMCA activities, Yerkes Observatory, swimming classes - Lake Geneva - Wisconsin. Album 2 contains snapshots of Glenn O. Ream Day at Albuquerque High - April 16, 1972.
