A mis queridos amigos: It is with utmost pleasure that we present the first LP album of "Juanito Lucero and las Munequitas," a group composed of four sisters, Bonnie, Elisa, Maria, Lolita, and one brother, Juanito, Jr. Their recording of "Soy Manito," first put out on a 45 RPM, did so well in the Southwest that it untimately led to the inspiraton of the recording of this album. Music by the Spanish-speaking people has traditionally passed down from generation to generation and is examplified and complimented by the best of the Lucero family, such as the parents of "Las Munequitas," Juan S. and Clorinda, by their uncles, "The Lucero Brothers" and of course, "Tio Juan Agustin Lucero." We have blended the old with the new to make this album a memorable experience. We sincerely hope that our "Queridos amigos" will enjoy this album in its entirety because it was done with the spirit in pleasing you and yours!
