 File — Box: 6, Folder: 5

Scope and Content

From the Collection: Series 1: Original Accession

Series 1 documents Wayne Lambert’s professional career as a geologist, documentary photographer, and educator. Research reports and publications, grant projects, bureaucratic paperwork, and correspondence comprise the bulk of the collection.

Lambert’s geology work in New Mexico the Southwestern United States, and Mexico and his teaching and research at West Texas State University/West Texas A&M dominate the collection. This includes publication of “Repeat Photography Newsletter" as well as work with the USGS and other entities.

Series 2: 2020 Addition

The second series in this collection is an addition processed in 2020 that was separated from the Wayne Lambert Pictorial Collection 2020 addition. This material accompanies his fine art and geological photography. The majority of information on individual photos, photo locations, and image processing methods was kept with the pictorial collection. Other information that Lambert added, such as photography and geological course materials from his time as a professor, other collections that contain his photography, information on galleries he owned over the years, and publication information are included in this manuscript collection.

Lambert originally organized the majority of these papers into subseries, which are maintained in organization of the collection and shown in bold. The course materials were originally in binders and their order has been maintained in folders.
