Scope and Contents
Fourteen Certificates of Indebtedness issued to individuals in the Marmon Battalion for services during the Apache Raid of May and June 1885, issued by the Office of Adjutant General, Territory of New Mexico, most dated July 1, 1885. (One certificate is dated August 1, 1885.) Also includes one Certificate of Allowance for pay dated December 31, 1885. All are signed by Governor Edmund G. Ross. Certificates bear the marks of individuals on the reverse along with the endorsement of R.G. Marmon.
