Abstract: 3/15/2013; 6/8/2013. In tape one, Bluehouse discusses his home and community life. He outlines his early education and daily routine in boarding school. He also discusses Catholicism in Isleta. He concludes with discussing his involvement in the relocation program and his time in California during the American Indian Movement. In tape two, Bluehouse discusses his time at UNM and involvement in KIVA Club. He focuses on various groups of activism and Larry Casuse. He also elaborates on the role of music in his education and personal life. He was part of several Native bands, including XIT.

Abstract
William Bluehouse Johnson (Isleta Pueblo and Navajo) received a Bachelor of University Studies and Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico. He was raised in the Pueblo of Isleta. He adopted the last name Bluehouse, to honor his Navajo Grandfather. He has practiced law since 1991. He has served in numerous judicial capacities including Chief Justice at Isleta Appellate Court, Judge Pro Tempore at Acoma and Cochiti Tribal Courts and Tribal Judge at both Acoma and Laguna Tribal Courts. He also worked as a Prosecutor for the Yavapai-Apache Nation and the Zuni Pueblo.
