Notes men needed for lambing & summer work such as: 4 cooks, 6 mayordomos, 6 burreros, 24 men for lambing, and 15 to 20 shearers. Paid 2 ½ cents per head; one pair shears each; and allowance of $5.00 for trip. Entry for March 5, 1907: "4 wagons of 2 teams each to freight salt & wool at rate of 50 cents cwt each way about 50 miles, a car of salt to be at McCartys June 15th, Severo Sanchez about ranch at Mal Pais
