A non-inventory operations purchase is reflected in a 4 Nov 1886 invoice from Blandy's Steam Engine Works, Zanesville, Ohio, for "1 56 in. Circular Saw" and accessories at $84.25 with a holograph notation "Chg'd Saw Mill…11/12/86." An invoice at the top of p. 70 is issued by L. & H. Huning & Goebel, Socorro, N.M., 30 Sept 1886, one of the mercantile company's branch operations. On p. 157, a holograph receipt notes Socorro partner Oscar Goebel credited with $176.80 in payment for "Freight to Mill," the Los Chavez mill location. Another Huning branch operation is revealed on p. 80 in a statement issued by L. & H. Huning & Co., Belen, N.M., 11 Oct 1886 to the Los Lunas flagship store. This book provides a crisp snapshot of inventory on the company's shelves during the year covered.
