Scope and Contents

The journal commences with a large sale to Manuel Pino who outfitted himself thoroughly: Two hats, two pair shoes, pants, tobacco, washboard, soap, overalls, linen, 15 pair wool socks, whiskey, wine, coffee, bacon, lard, etc., etc. to a total of $278.04. As to the cost of arming oneself, Jesus Maron acquired a pistol @ $15--, Scabbard @ $1.50, Cartridges @ $1.25 and Whiskey to improve his aim for $1.50 on December 9, 1881
