Scope and Content

From the Collection: The collection documents Mila Murray’s career teaching music, primarily employing the Robert Pace method. Included are articles she wrote about teaching, lesson assignments, class outlines, annotated textbooks as well as correspondence and associated materials. Murray’s Santa Fe Piano Conservatory teaching materials and materials associated with the New Mexico Women Composers’ Guild are included.

Listing of Murray’s education, professional positions, compositions performed in California and New Mexico, published music, experience, performances; file also contains letters, programs including “NM Women Composers’ Guild (NMWCG) Presents New Chamber Music 1990 Tour", NMWCG Year Books including 1989-90, 1990-91, minutes of many NMWCG meetings/news, write-ups of programs, news articles on the NMWCG and events, NMWCG Bylaws, NM Music Teachers Association / Convention including music of Murray, NMMTA Roster of Members for 1990. Also, the “American Women Composers Massachusetts Marathon" of April 1991 in which Murray participated.
