From the Series: Concentration of Indian pueblos of New Spain into larger settlements for administrative and missionary purposes, taxes. Conditions of Indians, villages, farms, cattle, industries, crafts, use of wood. Indian testimony about Spanish mission conversion, unjust demands of crown officials, unfair judges. Appointments of officials, salaries, creations of new congregations, dismantling of others, protests of planned reductions (of Indians), epidemics, lack of food, complaints about land being given to others, and demands for return of property. Places - Acatepec, Acatlan, Chalcatongo, Petlalcingo, Pueblo de Santo Domingo Ticuchi, San Ildifonso, Tehuacan, Temascalapan, Teposcolula, Teposcolula,Tlaxcala, Yanhuitlan.
