General
Native American songs, believed to be recorded in New Mexico. From 1 DAT from UNM Fine Arts Library, reformatted to 2 CDs, no other information available. Although the DAT was labeled Creation Chants, notes made upon listening indicate these are mainly publically known Navajo chants and social songs. Also includes other pow-wow songs performed by Plains Indian groups, with a few Pueblo and Apache songs. Notes from listening to recordings. Starts with Hispanic folk songs, moves to multiple Indian chants - Navajo Blessing Way, Beauty Way
