Note: Alternate title: Of Heaven and Earth: Hymns, Prayers, and Reflections on the Pious Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus the Nazarene. Includes sound track, notes, photos, slide show, transcripts and lyrics. Narrator - Padre and Hermano Jerome Martinez; producer - Enrique Lamadrid. Produced by Peregrino Productions, Santa Fe, NM 1991. These sounds come from the public celebrations of the Penitentes, including prayer vigils, services and special observances such as the wake for the dead. This program is not meant to document any morada in paraticular but is respectfully dedicated to all the hermanos past, present and future. According to the wishes of the brotherhood, the names of the moradas and members are not given. Although Lent and Holy Week are the culmination of the Penitente ritual calendar, the hermanos are active in their devotions and help their communities throughout the year. This homage celebrates their immeasurable contributions to the spiritual and cultural history of New Mexico and Colorado. Santos from Images of Penance, Images of Mercy Exhibit, Taylor Museum, Colorado Springs.
