Scope and Contents
Summary of notes: Pauline tells about her immigrant family and the tourist court or motel her father had in Gallup for years. She described the early operations and furnishing of the motel and the later changes that were made in the business. She recalls conditions and life in Gallup during the Depression, World War II and 1950s - commenting on the railroad, roads, floods, snow storms, the increase and changes in motels, travelers and other businesses, Route 66 and the multicultural aspect of her childhood school friends.
