GOODBYE, MONIQUE (82), June 12, 2017

 File — Box: 193, Folder: 14

Scope and Contents

BOOK ONE, and probably the shortest version ever, labelled Jmonique.18s. Clean, very simple and straightforward, and a *lovely draft. Based on the theory of "less is more." Epilogue doesn't explain afterlife with stepmother whitewashing of Monique from my life, etc. On the ms. box cover I wrote "I think as close as I've yet gotten to a finished draft!" Then I added, "Nope, not hardly." But this draft comes close. It contains Post-Its suggesting additions taken mostly from Jmonique.20d. 148 pages.
