MAYA ALLEN-GALLEGOS, UNM, SPOON MOUNTAIN, 2012
File — Box: 184, Folder: 39
Scope and Contents
Maya was Production Manager at UNM Press. I felt Spoon Mountain was designed as a skinny, verticle book, with delicate, lighty-inked type. And asked her to change the book size to the size and design and heavier-inked type of books of mine like Conjugal Bliss or Empanada Brotherhood. I gave her samples of what I wanted from the 8 books included in this file. Also included are my notes, on April 12, 2012, of phone call to Maya. She changed the size, type, and design of Spoon Mountain accordingly, for which I was very grateful.
