DAVID NICHOLS MEMORIAL ALBUM, NEW YORK, APRIL 13, 2013

 File — Box: 183, Folder: 9

Scope and Contents

This album contains color Xeroxes of 11 color photos of the party at Elizabeth Nichols house after a memorial service for my younger brother, David Nichols Jr. (65) who drowned in Hawaii, on Kauai, on February 2, 2013. He got caught in a rip tide. I flew east with my ex-wife Ruby Nichols to attend the memorial in Mt. Kisco with much family on April 13, 2013. During that trip Ruby and I also went to the American Museum of Natural History where a curator, Aja Marcato, showed us drawers of small mammals, mice, bats, lemmings, that my dad had collected for the museum from 1935-1938. First time I'd ever seen his collection. It was a thrill. This album also includes Xeroxes of 25 color photos of Ruby, me, Aja Marcato, and many of Dad's little animals at the museum on April 12, 2013, also a couple photos of Ruby and I with my dear friend, Alan Howard, in New York. Album also includes my eulogy for brother Dave, and all the letters I wrote to family and friends about his passing, and about seeing Dad's mammal collections at the museum. Album has 48 pages in all.
