STRIPED BASS FISHING, BARNEGAT LIGHT, N.J., JUNE 10, 1991

 File — Box: 181, Folder: 51

Scope and Contents

This is an album with 31 color Xeroxes taken from scanned slides of me and my two best friends, Alan Howard and Mike Kimmel, fishing for striped bass on a beach near Alan's cottage on June 10, 1991. Alan was my best friend at Hamilton College. I met Mike in Guatemala when I went there in 1964 to see Alan, who was on a Fulbright in Guatemala City. Mike was at work not far from Chichicastenango, employed by the American Friends (Quakers). We became instant friends. These pictures are from the only day we three avid fishermen ever spent with all-three fishing together. Alan caught a 39-inch striper, then Mike landed a 42-inch striper. I simply took the pictures. (They were all transparencies and the entire collection of them can be found in my slide archives, in Slide Box 44.)
