HIGH DESERT TROUT, KNME, COLORES, undated

 Item — Box: 180, DVD: 11

Scope and Contents

This tape contains two fine Colores shows for KNME. The first is "An Understated Sacredness," an interview with the Pueblo artist, Rina Swentzell. The second is "High Desert Trout," which has three sections in it about trout fishing: 1.) On the Pecos River, with Ti Piper; 2.) On the San Juan River; and 3.) on the Río Grande at Big Arsenic with me. My portion is funny; I'm a wise guy in front of the camera. After The Sky's the Limit video, above, this is one of my favorite documentaries ever made that I was in. I had great fun with Michael Kamins and Dale Krusic who shot and produced the film for KNME. The portion of Río Grande I'm fishing is nothing but huge boulders and white water. Amazing, how coordinated I used to be among the boulders. (These days, 2014, I can't walk 5 steps without falling down! But I used to be a contender!) I have some funny riffs also intermingled among parts of the other two sections of the documentary. I suspect the film was made around 1993-1995.
