PORTRAIT OF AMERICA, WAYNE EWING, APRIL 9, 1984
Item — Box: 180, DVD: 1
Scope and Contents
I think it was Turner Broadcasting that did a bunch of these "Portrait" films on various states in America. This one, about New Mexico, was produced and filmed by my friend, Wayne Ewing, a documentary filmmaker. It is narrated by Hal Holbrooke. There is a section on Taos in which I am interviewed, my friend Andrés Martínez is interviewed, and a local dairy farmer, Bob Gomez, is interviewed. It's fun to see Andrés on tape. My interview begins the Taos section. Lots of political stuff. I taped this show off the TV, so it's a bad tape, even has ads. I imagine you could acquire a copy from TBS, or whoever now owns it. Wayne Ewing still lives in Aspen, Colorado, and probably has a website.
