Access Restrictions

The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.

This Box 11 has events at UCLA, Dutton Books, scenes on Venice Boardwark, Marina Pacific Hotel, Midnight Special Books, meeting my buddies John Nicksic, Bill Becker, Leo Garen and Mary Ann Dolan, Leo's Venice house, Jerry Hellman (film producer) in Malibu. Also trip to Santa Barbara with media escort, Nancy Harper, and wonderful scenes with Juana and Nancy on Santa Barbara beach. Plus St. George and the Dragon Books in Santa Barbara. In Seattle: Ted Lucia (media escort) and author, Paul Loeb ("Nuclear Culture"), and filmmaker B.J. Bullert. In Austin: Gail Beall (media escort); Jay Hodgeson (LBJ radio/TV station); and University Co-op books in Austin. And Finally: our Villa Capri Motel in Austin.
