Scope and Contents
71 typed pages. Mostly in-depth field notes from alpine climbs on April 2, 4, 10, 17, 24 and 30. One trip in fairly deep snow to Williams Lake; the other five climbs up a steep avalanche chute to the La Cal Basin west ridge. Also in this folder: 1.) A trip to Belen for a speech. 2.) Talk in Denver at their book festival. 3.) A fishing expedition on April 19 down Rope Trail south of the Gorge Bridge. 4.) Memorable dream. 5.) Visitors from Califas. And 6.) My experience as foreman of the jury during a traumatic civil action April 24, 25.

Access Restrictions
The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.
