JOURNAL/DIARY FILES, OCTOBER 2-18, 2001

 File — Box: 138, Folder: 6

Scope and Contents

37 typed pages. This month started a big change in my life. True beginning of "mountain climbing career." Because of 9-11 attacks (and book-tour burnout) I cancelled October 16 Toronto reading appearance at International Festival of Authors and began climbing high a lot. These alpine hikes were very important to me from 2001-2010. On each trip I made detailed (repetitive, monotonous) field notes and took many landscape and wildlife photos (snapshots, no "art" involved). This folder contains: 1.) Summiting peak with my doctor pal Larry Schreiber on Oct. 4. 2.) Big Santa Fe birthday party. 3.) Little Lake Fork Lake on Oct. 11. 4.) AMAZING WONDERFUL DAY ON MOUNTAIN PEAK ON OCTOBER 16!
