Scope and Contents
6 RINGS. Only 13 pages of journaling. Starts March 14, 1964 on a bus leaving N.Y. for Guatamala City. First 6 pages get to Springfield, Missouri. Pages 7-8 describe market day in Chichicastenango, Guatemala. Pages 9-10 are notes for American Child Supreme novel. Pages 11-13 are more about Chichicastenango, preparing for Easter. Rest of notebook lists daily chores I must do back in New York. Not much information.

Access Restrictions
The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.
