Scope and Content

From the Collection: The collection consists of legal documents pertaining to the Bouquet Ranch in Pojoaque NM, activities of the Bouquet family, relatives, (women), and associates in the area between the 1860s and the 1920s. The papers are predominantly land transactions and wills. Deeds include detailed descriptions of property lines, and the names of many neighboring Pojoaque landholders. All documents are in Spanish unless otherwise noted.

  1. Indenture lease dated March 1, 1904 between C. Weidner and Petra L. Bouquet Weidner, and J.W. Bateman and H. Hurley. For Bouquet Orchard, Pojoaque. In English.
  2. Lease agreement dated June 20, 1914, between Ernest Pineau, Agustin Alary and Alfredo Alary, contractors, and Petra Bouquet. For cultivation, harvest, and sale of fruit.
  3. Assignment of mortgage dated February 20, 1937, between Olivia M. Cutting and Jesus M. Baca, executors of the last will and testament of Bronson M. Cutting, and Olivia James, Justine B. Ward, and Iris Origo. Sale of indenture of mortage on the Bouquet Ranch. In English.
