General

Robert Bright, his wife, and their children took up residence in Taos in 1938. The family eventually left New Mexico, but in the Fall of 1950, Katherine Bright and the children returned to Taos, leaving Robert alone in Boston to pursue his writing career. This series of of newsy and sometimes emotional letters documents the struggles of the family, and of making a living in Taos, during that period of separation. Some letters between Robert and his children are included.
