Scope and Content

From the Collection: The Daniel Schávelzon Papers document the activities of Schávelzon and his family between 1890 and 2017. The papers are separated into five series. These series are grouped around larger themes which occasionally overlap in content. The first series includes Schávelzon's archeological articles and excavations. It also includes clippings and articles by other archeologists. The second series is about master and doctoral thesis about archeological sites in various Latin America countries. The third series includes the Schávelzon family's personal documents. It includes his curriculum vitae, doctoral thesis, personal notes and journals, birth certificate, and other Schávelzon family documents such as his grandparents' and siblings' family papers and their genealogy. The fourth series contains Schávelzon's correspondence with friends, colleagues, and institutions. Finally, the fifth series includes maps of various archeological sites and few artworks about Daniel Schávelzon .
