Scope and Contents
Includes documents, photographs and maps. Documents include an FWDA Restoration Advisory Board Fact Sheet; an 1989 ‘Concept Paper’ proposing to convert the Fort Wingate Depot to the National Archeological Repository; one letter from law firm Sutin, Thayer and Browne to the City Manager of Gallup, New Mexico regarding aboriginal title claims by the Navajo Nation to Fort Wingate lands; photocopies of two chapters from unidentified source on the redevelopment of military facilities. Photographs include five 1976 images of the landscape at Fort Wingate and a photograph of a Pershing Missile launch, 1963. Also includes a photocopy of an archaeological survey map for site LA 16279 and a photographic reproduction of a map of Fort Wingate Army Depot, 1971.
