Scope and Content
From the Collection:
This collection contains photographs of Albuquerque High students, and facilities, many landscapes, and cityscapes, and other photographs mainly dealing with education and geology. Photographs pertaining to Oil Shale Reporting Technology and geological interest include Black Butte, the Shoshone Ice Caves of Idaho, and Isleta lava. There are a number of photographs of Harrington's classes at Albuquerque High School and of his tours around the country by motorcycle. A later addition (box 12) also has photos related to the Harrington family, of Al Simpson, bicycle dealer in Albuquerque and friend of E. R. Harrington, along with five postcards depicting kilt-clad Scotsmen, agriculture, including McCormick agricultural machinery, and Navajo and Pueblo communities and Indians including San Ildefonso potter María Martínez and her husband, Julian Martínez.
