Guests: Bob Anderson, Geoff Barret; Host: David Alire Garcia On this show the guests discuss the debates over institutions of higher education such as the value of the modern research university, issues of affordability, athletics vs. academics, application of internet, and the privatization of public institutions. A general theme is that funding from private institutions is moving the activities of campus further away from the idea of education first. They also discuss the idea of a public/private partnership as a possible good venture.
