Scope and Contents

In this interview, Urich discusses his campaign for U.S. House of Representatives as the Green Party Candidate for the 1st congressional district. In this election Urich is running against republican incumbent Steve Schiff who is running for re-election. Topics of the interview include what inspired Urich to run for congress; how he distinguishes himself from the other candidates and from other Greens; and the effect he believes the emergence of multiple parties would have on the progressive element. The interview also include Urich's stance on deficit reduction, government sanctioning of the tobacco industry, and the deployment of U.S. troops to Bosnia.
