Sponsored by numerous Communist Youth Organizations such as the Federación Juvenil Comunsita de México, Liga Juvenil Comunista de Cuba, Liga Juvenil Comunista de los Estados Unidos, Liga Juvenil Comunista de Canadá, Federación Juvenil Comunista de Colombia, Federación Juvenil Comunista de Panamá, Federación Juvenil Comunista de Chile, Federación Juvenil Comunista del Perú, Federación Juvenil Comunista de Uruguay, Federación Juvenil Comunista del Brasil, and the Federación Juvenil Comunista de Argentina. This poster announces a demonstration set to commemmorate the eighteenth annual International Day of Youth. After reporting on and upholding as examples anti- imperialist and anti-fascist youth groups in Germany and Japan, respectively, this poster calls upon working class youth in all of the Americas to defend the USSR as a "symbol of liberty for all workers and oppressed masses of the world" as well as calling youth from Latin America and the Caribbean to act against United States and British imperialism. Furthermore, it calls for youth of the Unitd States to demand liberty for the youth on trial in Scottsboro, Alabama (in the Scottsboro Trials), to demand self-determination for black and indigenous peoples in the United States, and to fight for better economic and political conditions for blacks and indigenous peoples in the U.S. Finally, it warns that the imperialists are alalied with the Internacional Juvenil Socialista, thus revealing a fundamental divide between communists and socialists of the era.
