Scope and Content

From the Collection: The collection consists of various types of written materials, including newspapers, periodicals, articles, news clippings, pamphlets, flyers and personal correspondence collected by Bruce Trigg. The collection reflects Trigg's involvement in issues and organizations including the New Mexico Green Party, Planned Parenthood of the Rio Grande, and WIPP.

Green Party materials include information on New Mexico candidates in the 1996 election, some information on the National party, and personal notes and letters written by Trigg while actively involved in grassroot efforts.

Public health issues related to WIPP and the enviornment are also part of the collection. This includes materials relating to the Department of Energy. Trigg's personal correspondence with elected officials and paperwork relating to his organizational involvements are included..

Other significant issues represented in the collection include the public response to building a Walgreens Drug Store on the corner of Carlisle and Lomas in Albuquerque, and on third parties (political) in the United States. There is an additional component of information regarding Central American solidarity and the war in Central America during the 1980's.
