Scope and Content

From the Collection: The Raynolds family papers contain Joshua S. Raynolds' 1896 scrapbook of newspaper clippings and a handwritten catalogue of his personal library. The newspaper clippings consist of humorous anecdotes, local interest articles about people and businesses in Canton, Ohio, and Central City, Colorado, and miscellaneous pieces on national affairs. Also included in the collection are seven date books belonging to Raynolds's son, Herbert F. Raynolds. These books, ranging from 1912 to 1918, pertain to Herbert Raynolds's court cases when he served as judge of Bernalillo, Sandoval, and McKinley Counties (2nd Judicial District of New Mexico.)
