Note in score: This version of the French folksong Marlborough ca va t'en guerre, (Duke of Marlborough Has Left for the War, or Mambru), sung by the Spanish speaking people of New Mexico was sung for me by Juan Morales and others at La Jara, New Mexico on August 26, 1944.
