Scope and Contents
A Story of Kemah, as told by John D. Robb, Jr., to his granddaughter Ellen Bea Robb, presented Christmas 1983, about his visit to their home called Kemah on Shelter Island, New York, that has been part of the family for 50 years, dedicated to Gapoo or "the Gap" (JDR), and Hattie, includes a detailed history of the island and its inhabitants, Native American and English, the island ferries, their Kemah home since 1933, architectural changes, furnishings, outbuildings, and Robb’s sailboats.
