Scope and Contents

From the Series: Six scrapbooks consisting of newspaper clippings, programs and miscellany offer a limited view of musical activity in Albuquerque from l92l to l94l. during this period, Grace Thompson was a private teacher, organist and accompanist, music director for the "First American", concert artist, UNM faculty member, director of the Albuquerque Civic Orchestra, etc. The material is often not dated or arranged in an orderly, chronologically fashion. Inclusive dates are approximate. Because the scrapbooks are in fragile condition, photocopies have been provided for the convenience of researchers.
