Scope and Contents
The correspondence folders consist mostly of copies of letters to and from many of the key figures in the land dispute, e.g., Navajo Chairman Peter MacDonald, Hopi Chairman Abbott Sekaquaptewa, lawyers for both tribes, Congressmen Morris Udall and Sam Steiger, Senators Barry Goldwater and James Abourezk, various government officials, etc.
