Vera Cutler, San Jose School - Grade 5-6, 1936-1937

 Item — Box: 23, Diary: 1

Scope and Contents

The grade this teacher taught is unknown but by examining records, she appears to have taught 4th through 7th grades as she advanced students at different paces and levels in her "Promotion List". All entries are typed and organized by subject matter (social science, arithmetic, geography, etc.). Numerous assignments are in this file, along with discussion of how individual students did on each assignment or exam. There is also occasional confusion on several lesson plans, for example, in one lesson plan the students have trouble understanding why roads vary in cost. The file also contains pages that describe students and their academic and social advancement.
