Scope and Contents

This diary opens with a seating chart, separating children by reading level, and notes from student council meetings. Grammatical structure, vocabulary lists and projects seems to be emphasized in this journal. There are also detailed accounts of assigned readings as well as teacher interactions with students and their parents in regards to attendance and deportment. Personal hygiene is mentioned in numerous situations and in varied contexts. Ethics concerning agricultural techniques is a central point of numerous lessons and exams. Boy's and Girl's Club activities are also discussed.
