Victoria Davis de Sánchez, Nambe School - Grade 6-7,, 1940-1941

 Item — Box: 20, Diary: 4

Scope and Contents

This diary follows the same format as the others by the same author -- she groups the students into academic levels and proceeds to write extensively on each. The author includes a chart with the weight and height of each student, perhaps a new procedure added in early 1940. There are several assignments included with this diary as well as several letters written by the students to various officials. The author includes extensive commentary by the children as well as her own interpretations and observations. In the center of the diary is a listing of "Family Records"; unfortunately, several pages were cut out or the contents refer to an unknown diary. At the end of the diary is the students' library book log.
