Scope and Contents

This diary contains detailed notes on assignments and projects, usually organized under a weekly review. Students are arranged into "A, B, and C" reading groups and assigned different projects and reading assignments. Many lessons are divided into directed reading, social science, language, library reading, and often specific projects. The language sections contain a diverse body of material, including comments on the "Outstanding Citizen" award. Other subject headings include the library, bulletin boards, music, and group planning and projects. Completed assignments and vocabulary lists are also included with the diary. Additional materials are included in folder 1 and in the oversize folder.

Prior to being granted access to the collection researchers must sign the attached consent form, agreeing not to disclose information that would be an invasion of privacy of living individuals, not to divulge names of individuals mentioned in the diaries, and to hold harmless and to indemnify UNM and its employees for any loss or damage to them occasioned by the release of the informational content of these materials. This restriction expires January 1, 2050.
