Scope and Contents

This diary opens with a daily schedule and notes on items from "show and tell". Activities, such as making a playhouse, reactions by student participants, and evaluations are explained on note cards and attached to the various sections. Classroom news, such as the purchase of new supplies, or new Shirley Temple movies such as "Curly Top" and discussed throughout. Activities, such as sewing or playing with toys, and corresponding vocabulary, seem to be of central importance in this teacher's lesson plans. The diary closes with a long exam and discussion on the class' progress.
