Scope and Contents
Like other early grade diaries, this diary opens with a pre-first program or schedule. The diary also contains a detailed list of songs taught, stories, games, vocabulary and related subjects. Periodically the teacher also includes a "Resume of the Month" where she discusses how students are adapting to the school and projects. Throughout the year attendance increases and students become more accustomed to being in class. This diary also contains numerous completed projects, exams, grades, seasonal projects, and notes on teaching units such as "community and civic helpers unit." One or two photos are included in this diary.
