Scope and Content
From the Collection:
There are three folders of material in this collection. Folder 1 contains the meeting agenda for the Organization of American States, Inter-American Cultural Council and the studies to be discussed at their meeting in Lima, Peru, 1956. Most items are in Spanish, some in English, Portuguese and French. Folder 2 contains material for the Colegio Internacional de Estudios Luso-Brasileiros sponsored by the Library of Congress and Vanderbilt University, October 18-21, 1950. There are the opening remarks by Dr. Pedro Theotinio Pereira, President of the Portuguese Delegation, a list of participants, including Dr. Woodward, and English translations of papers presented in Portuguese at the colloquium. The third folder has Spanish and English material of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) Regional Conference on Free and Compulsory Education in Latin America. This folder also contains material from the Western Regional Conference of April 10, 1957 in San Francisco, California on the topic of adult education in the United States.
